On December 16-17, 2024 the kick-off meeting of the new project PRODIGE (PROmoting high-quality DIGital Education in Georgia) within the framework of the EU funded Erasmus+ CBHE was held in a hybrid mode.
Duration of the project is 36 months ( starting date 01/12/2024) 01/12/2024 – 30/11/2027
PRODIGE aims to establish the legislative and regulatory framework deploying Digital Education (DE) as an integral part of the higher education spectrum; capacity building of the Georgian HEIs for providing distance education,
– Guarantee the quality of distance education by establishing a national quality assurance framework and capacity to conduct external quality assurance evaluation, fast introduction of new approaches, improving learning and teaching quality and innovations.
At the national level, the project is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement to ensure development of the regulatory framework, the legal package will organize digital education as an inseparable part of the higher education portfolio and will be reflected in the unified national strategy of Education and Science of Georgia of 2022-2030.
