PRODIGE Promoting Digital Education in Georgia

On 1–3 December 2025, within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE PRODIGE project (Promoting High-Quality Digital Education in Georgia), a three-day training titled „Strengthening the Employability of Students and Graduates in Education“ (WP4, T4.3) was held in Tbilisi, at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The training was conducted by the expert team from Algebra Bernays University, Croatia:

  • Marko Kovačić, PhD,, Associate Professor at the University of Rijeka and Lecturer in Research Methodology;
  • Iva Džambaski, MA,, Associate Fellow of Algebra Bernays University and the University of Rijeka, specialist in information and communication technologies.

The team of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University participated in the training: Tea Tatenashvili (Coordinator, Expert/Researcher), Irakli Khachidze (Expert/Researcher) and Tamar Kapanadze (Expert/Researcher).

During the three days, participants worked on the following topics:

  • identifying students’ digital skills gaps;
  • understanding European trends in digital transformation;
  • modern approaches to online teaching and digital pedagogy;
  • integrating digital competences relevant to employability into the teaching process;
  • cooperation with stakeholders and developing institutional action plans.

The aim of the training was to strengthen professional and institutional capacities, promote knowledge sharing, and improve the quality of digital education in line with the priorities of the European Union.
