REPORTS ABOUT MOBILITY AND TRAININGS IMPLEMENTED IN THE FRAMEWORK OF ERASMUS+ CBHE PROJECTS-INTEGRITY AND CURE

The academic and administrative staff at Samtskhe-Javakheti State had a chance to listen to the reports about mobility and trainings implemented in the framework of Erasmus+ CBHE projects – INTERGITY and CURE.

At the beginnings of the meeting Prof. Tina Gelashvili, institutional manager of Erasmus+ projects at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University reviewed projects where the University is involved in at the moment. These are the following projects:

  1. INTEGRITY( Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia)
  2. CURE(Multi-faced program for curricular reform that aims to improve the level of curriculum for Civic Education and Principles of Democracy in teacher-training programs in Israel and in Georgia)
  3. ASSET (Assessment Tools for new learning environments in higher education institutions)

In the framework of project INTEGRITY training was held at Uppsala University, Sweden in August. Training covered issues related to students services which can be implemented in order to prevent plagiarism cases at Georgian universities. In the framework of this project the licenses of plagiarism detection software have been purchased. During the current semester 1200 licenses will be used at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University. Project team announced trainings for students and professors from the next week on how to use Turnitin in Moodle.

In the framework of project CURE special mobility was taken place in August at University of Tallinn in Estonia. Vano Janovi, head of IT department and Shalva Otanadze, specialist at the same department presented some online tools that can be used in teaching-learning process.
