On September 17th the Moodle program presentation was held with freshmen of the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at the Scientific Library of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University. The presentation was led by Darejan Vediakov, Chief Specialist of the Learning Process Management Department. She presented the processes of registration in the program Moodle, choosing e-courses, using electronic resources and completing the task. Students were provided with information on how to upload a completed assignment to the Moodle program.
Khatuna Kvintskhadze, Technical Director of the Scientific Library, presented a plagiarism detection program Turnitin which is integrated into Moodle. The software was purchased and provided to the University in the frames of ERASMUS+ CBHE project INTEGRITY and has been in use since 2017. Students were provided information about how to prevent plagiarism, as well as how to use library services and the online catalog Openbiblio.
At the end, Darejan Vediakov presented to the students a sample of the assignment that will be checked for plagiarism.
